
Ducks Fall 6-1 to #42 Fresno State

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Oregon men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision in a neutral site match with #42 Fresno State on Saturday night. The Ducks have lost five of their last six matches after winning five of their first six to start the 2009 season.
The Ducks lone win came at No. 2 singles, where Marcos Verdasco took home a 6-2, 5-7 (10-7) victory. It was Verdasco's first match at No. 2 singles this season after posting a 4-7 mark at No. 1 singles for the Ducks. Alexander Cornelissen jumped from No. 2 to No. 1 but fell 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to No. 33 ranked Rudolph Siwy.
Oregon will play three straight road matches next weekend when they battle Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo. and then play Nebraska and Denver in Denver, Colo. Denver is currently ranked No. 45 in the nation.
