EUGENE, Ore. ? The University of Oregon volleyball team continued its early-season dominance, sweeping Fresno State, 3-0, on Friday night at McArthur Court.
The Ducks (6-0) did in the Bulldogs (1-7) in record-breaking fashion, 30-9, 30-25 and 30-24. The 21-point margin of victory in Game 1 was the highest in team history.
“We've done a lot of work on game preparation and it has paid off,” second-year head coach Jim Moore said.
Oregon was without freshman middle blocker Neticia Enesi, who sprained her left ankle on Monday, but welcomed junior Karen Waddington back into the fold after she had missed the first five matches with a toe sprain. Waddington eased into her first action of the season with a team-high seven blocks.
“We have a lot of talent on this team and we're getting more consistent as we figure each other out.” Waddington said.
