
Ducks in the Hunt for NCAA Bid at the NCAA West Regional

Led by senior Johnna Nealy and sophomore Kim McCready, the Ducks need one more solid day to keep themselves within the top-eight teams to earn a berth in the NCAA Championships, May 17-20 in
Three players tied for the low round of one-under 71 on the 6,319-yard. In comparison, Thursday's opening saw five players break par including two players shooting 69.

USC carded a 19-over, 302 on Friday and moved into the lead (595), and passed day one leader
Georgia trailed in third at 26-over (602) followed by UCLA, California and Brigham Young, which tied for fourth at 27-over (603). Ten strokes back of USC, Oregon and Oklahoma St. tied for seventh at 29-over (605), and Washington State and Stanford rounded out the top 10 at 31-over (608).
After two rounds, Nealy and McCready were three shots and six shots back of second-round leader, Califonia's Sophia Sheridan (69-73-142), respectively.

The Ducks return for final round action that begins Saturday morning.
The top eight teams will earn automatic berths to the NCAA championships, and the top-two individuals from non-qualifying teams will also earn invites to the collegiate finale.
