
Ducks Handle Howard, 91-55

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Malik Hairston had 22 points to lead five Oregon players in double figures, and the Ducks coasted to a 91-55 win over Howard on Tuesday.
Sophomore Bryce Taylor, who didn't start for the first time in 37 career games, had 15 points for the Ducks (6-4). Brandon Lincoln added a career-high 15 points, Maarty Leunen scored 14 and Aaron Brooks had 10 points and 10 assists.
The balanced attack added up to a season-high point total for the Ducks, who had lost four of five entering the game.
Darek Mitchell led Howard (1-6) with 20 points, hitting 6-of-7 3-pointers. Darryl Hudson added 14 points for the Bison.
Brooks hit a 3-pointer to break a 14-14 tie and Taylor followed with back-to-back 3-pointers to give Oregon the lead for good. Hairston later scored 10 straight points to give the Ducks a 57-27 lead at the half.
Oregon shot 67 percent for the half and made 9-of-15 3-pointers. The Ducks, whose lead reached 39 points late in the second half, ended the night shooting 60 percent from the field and 46 percent on 3-pointers.
Howard shot 41 percent and committed 23 turnovers.
