Oregon gets 20 points from Luke Ridnour in 78-66 setback.
SEATTLE (AP) - Curtis Allen scored 17 points and Will Conroy had 15 as Washington broke a season-worst five-game losing streak with a 78-66 victory over Oregon on Saturday.
The Huskies took advantage of superior inside play, scoring 40 points in the paint to only 14 for the Ducks.
Freshman Nate Robinson scored 14 points, freshman Brandon Roy 13 and Doug Wrenn 10 for Washington (9-15 overall, 4-11 Pac-10).
Luke Ridnour scored 20 points while James Davis added 15 and Ian Crosswhite 14 for Oregon (18-7, 8-6).
Ridnour's Pac-10 record streak of 62 straight free throws was broken when he missed the first of two free throws with 1:31 remaining.
The Ducks tied a season low by shooting just 33.3 percent from the field.
There were six lead changes in the second half before the 5-foot-9 Robinson had two tip-ins during a 9-4 run that put the Huskies ahead for good midway through the second half.
A basket by Crosswhite with 6:07 remaining brought the Ducks to within 55-54, but Allen capped a 9-2 Washington run with a 3-pointer to put the game away.
Washington broke a three-game losing streak against Oregon.
The Huskies moved into eighth place in the conference standing, passing UCLA, which lost to Stanford.
The top eight teams in the conference standings advance to the Pac-10 Conference tournament March 13-15 in Los Angeles.
Washington led by as many as 14 points midway through the first half, but James Davis scored six points and Ridnour five as Oregon closed out the last five minutes of the half with a 16-8 run to cut Washington's lead to 36-31 at halftime.
