Janice Harrer

After serving as the volunteer assistant during the 2018 season, Janice Harrer was elevated to the role of full-time assistant coach for the Oregon beach volleyball team ahead of the 2019 campaign.
A 2012 inductee into the Beach Volleyball Hall of Fame, Harrer competed for 15 years as a professional beach volleyball player on the AVP, WPVA and FIVB Tours, winning 13 combined U.S. and World Championships. Harrer was also an alternate for the 1996 Olympics.
Harrer is also involved with USA Beach Volleyball as a coach and trainer, and she has coached indoors at the high school, college and club levels as well, including three years as the head coach at Chaminade University (1992-94).
Harrer earned her associates degree from Saddleback College in 1980 before receiving her bachelor of arts from UC Irvine in 1983.
