Todd Miles

Todd Miles joined the Oregon Athletic Communications Office in November 2012 and handles day-to-day communications efforts for the baseball team while also working with the Ducks’ football team. Miles also spent two years overseeing the Quack Cave, Oregon’s social media hub, and spent one season working with the Ducks men’s basketball team.
Miles joined the Ducks after spending four seasons as the assistant athletic director for media relations and broadcast services at Long Beach State. Miles worked directly with men’s basketball, men’s volleyball, softball and men’s water polo during his tenure at The Beach.
He was responsible for planning and executing a media relations and internet broadcast plan for the 49ers, and was a member of the senior administrative staff. Miles’ duties included supervising and training staff and producing media guides and press releases while maintaining the Long Beach State website.
Before working at LBSU, Miles spent seven years at Boise State where he worked with the school’s football team and the men’s basketball team. He also served as the media relations contact for men’s and women’s golf and cross country during a portion of his time with the Broncos.
Miles started his athletic administration career at the College of Idaho where he served as associate athletic director, sports information director, ticket manager and the athletic department’s primary fundraiser from 1997-2001.
Miles has vast experience working in all areas of the media. After a six-year career as a sports anchor and reporter at KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Ore., and KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho, Miles handled various duties on the radio at both the College of Idaho and Boise State. He served as the play-by-play announcer for men’s basketball and baseball at C of I all four years at the school. At Boise State he handled color commentary duties for the men’s basketball team and was the sideline reporter for the football team. He also hosted an hour-long talk show about Boise State athletics from 2002 to 2004. At Oregon, he has handled play-by-play duties for a number of baseball games. Miles also spent time working at the Spokesman Review in Spokane, Wash., from 1987-1990.
In addition to being a member of CoSIDA, Miles serves on the board of directors for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America. He will be the organizations president during the 2018-19 school year. He is also a voter in the weekly NCBWA top 30 poll, assists in the preseason and postseason All-America Team and oversees the National Coach of the Year voting process and release.
A 1990 graduate of Gonzaga University with a degree in broadcasting, Miles earned his master’s degree in athletic administration in 2006. He and his wife Staci have a son (Hatcher) and daughter (Larkin).
