Kari Ward joined the athletic department in 2015 as the Insurance and Reimbursement Manager for UO Athletic Medicine. Kari ensures timely payment of injury claims and is an integral component of day-to-day operations across the many athletic training facilities.
Kari has over 20 years of experience in the local medical arena with jobs related to: patient billing, office coordination and organization, medical records management, scheduling and administrative support across multiple primary care and specialty clinics. Ward’s expertise helps optimize the daily operations of the athletic medicine staff and their service to the department and student athletes.
A native of Eugene, Kari has been immersed in the Duck culture her whole life. She currently resides in nearby Springfield with her husband Steve, her son Casey, two dogs Boomer and Koko, 4 turtles, and 12 chickens. In her spare time, Kari enjoys spending time in the garden and cooking.
