#ProDucks Enter Final Week of AUSL Regular Season
07/13/26 | Softball
As the AUSL enters the final week of the regular season, #ProDuck Amari Harper and associate head coach Sydney Romero are helping the OKC Spark make a final push for the postseason.
At the same time, Paige Sinicki recorded the first three hits of her AUSL career for Portland as the Cascade not only have a 2.5 game lead on the Spark for the final playoff spot, but are also within reach of first place.
For Your Consideration: Coach Ro
Romero is making a strong case to be considered for AUSL postseason honors. Through Sunday's games, she's one of only three players in the league ranked in the top five in batting average (.368), slugging percentage (.785), runs (18), hits (25), home runs (7), RBI (21) and total bases (52).
The other two players are her Spark teammate Maya Brady and Sami Williams of the Chicago Bandits, both of whom are having MVP-caliber seasons.
Harper Finding Ways to Reach Base
Harper is now third in the AUSL in on base percentage (.433) as she continues a stellar rookie campaign for the Spark.
On the season, Harper is hitting .292 with four doubles, a home run and eight RBI in 18 games. She also has four walks and has reached base a league-high eight times after being hit by a pitch.
Sinicki Gets First Career Hit and Then Some
In Friday's game against Chicago, Sinicki was 3-for-3 with two RBI and a triple and then made two big defensive plays on Sunday to help the Cascade take the final game of their series.
Not only is Portland 2.5 games up on OKC for the final playoff spot, but the Cascade are just two games behind league-leading Utah for first place. The two teams play an important two-game series in Hillsboro that begins Wednesday.
Note: Stats through Sunday's games.
