Oregon beat 15th-ranked FAU in its first of two matches Friday.
SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon beach volleyball team beat No. 15 Florida Atlantic Friday morning at the Alki Invitational in Seattle. The result marks the program's highest-ever ranked win, and its second over a ranked team this year. Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes clinched the milestone win for the Ducks.

Individually, senior Natasha George registered her 46th career win during the FAU victory and became the program's all-time leader in the category.
Â
Oregon split its two matches Friday—falling to Boise State in its afternoon dual—and is now 16-15 this season. The Ducks will face Portland Saturday at 12:30 p.m. followed by the weekend finale against No. 19 Washington.

Â
The 15th-ranked Owls got on the board with a win at the top of the lineup and then tied the dual at 2-2 with a three-set win on court two. Bella Gamache and Liz Rossi won the first set at No. 2 pairs but FAU rallied for the point 16-14 in the third.
Â
McClellan and Snipes were also in a third set on court three. The UO pair won the opening set before a tight second frame went to the Owls. In the decisive set, however, McClellan and Snipes pulled away for the 21-13, 22-24, 15-11 victory to secure the upset.
