Ducks Tie Single-Season Wins Record

Oregon picked up its 14th win with Saturday’s win over Santa Clara.

HONOLULU, O'ahu – The Oregon beach volleyball team tied the program record with its 14^th win of the season, beating Santa Clara in Saturday's opener. The Ducks' pair of Bella Gamache and Liz Rossi was 2-0 on the day including the clinch point against Santa Clara.

Oregon is now 14-13 this season after splitting two duals Saturday. The Ducks lost to weekend host and 16^th-ranked Hawai'i in their second match of the day.

In the opener, Oregon jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Santa Clara in the third meeting between the two teams this season. Landree Coats and Natasha George tallied the first point of the weekend followed by another straight-set win by Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes at No. 3 pairs. The Broncos got on the board with a win at the fourth spot in the lineup.

Gamache and Rossi fought off a handful of set points in the second set before coming through with the 21-18, 25-23 win over Santa Clara's Teagan Wilson and Sammy Wood at No. 2 spot. With the team's win already in hand, Gwen Fife and AJ Slojkowski rallied from a set down on court one to collect the Ducks' fourth point.

Gamache and Rossi picked up the Ducks' lone point in their afternoon dual against No. 16 Hawai'i. The duo won in three sets with a 15-12 decider in the third.

Notable: George moved in sole possession of second place in program history with 44 career dual wins … Rossi became the 14^th player in program history to reach 20 career wins.
