Gonzaga Fall Invite

SPOKANE, Wash. - Three Oregon men's tennis players advanced to singles finals Saturday at the Gonzaga Invite, highlighted by Sam Olszakowski and Cameron Burton setting up an all-Duck championship match in the red draw at the Stevens Center.
Olszakowski and Burton will square off Sunday at 10:30 a.m., while Declan Galligan will compete in the white draw final at the same time. Oregon has combined for nine singles victories through the first two days of the three-day tournament. Olszakowski battled through a three-set semifinal against Portland State's Maas Schotanus, taking the opening set in a tiebreaker before dropping the second. He responded with a 6-4 win in the deciding set to secure a 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 6-4 victory and a spot in the championship match.
Burton continued his strong tournament run with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory over Gonzaga's Herrera in the red draw semifinals. Burton has won all three of his singles matches in straight sets, dropping just 12 games across six sets. Galligan also remained unbeaten in singles play, defeating Gonzaga's Pawirodirjo, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, to advance to the white draw final. Galligan opened the tournament Friday with straight-set victories over Edoardo Cravanzola of Portland State and Erik Vladimirov of Idaho.
On Friday, Olszakowski earned a three-set victory over Portland's Tannor Binder, while Burton defeated Portland State's Luca Prino and Montana State's Andre Stewart. Kohshi Ishibashi also picked up an opening-day win for the Ducks, rallying to defeat Gonzaga's Tom Dunlop in three sets before falling to Schotanus. In doubles action Saturday, Olszakowski and Ishibashi fell to Montana State's Biss and Stewart, 7-5, while Galligan and Burton dropped a 7-5 decision to Portland State's Schotanus and Cravanzola.
Oregon will close out the Gonzaga Invite on Sunday, with both singles championship matches scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
