EUGENE, Ore. — Five University of Oregon athletics programs recorded a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 100 percent in the latest NCAA report, which evaluates student-athletes who enrolled at the UO between 2015–18 and received athletics aid.
Oregon Athletics posted an overall GSR of 88 percent, an increase from the last cohort's mark of 85 percent. Among student-athletes who exhausted their eligibility, the GSR was 90 percent, an increase from the 89 percent rate in last year's report.
The five UO programs achieving a 100 percent GSR are women's basketball, women's golf, lacrosse, soccer, and women's tennis. Women's tennis reached the 100 percent benchmark for the ninth consecutive year, while women's golf did so for the eighth year in a row. Women's basketball and soccer both achieved this distinction for the fourth consecutive year, and lacrosse did so for the second year in a row.
A total of 13 Oregon programs posted a GSR of 80 percent or higher, including: football (88%), baseball (81%), men's golf (82%), men's tennis (88%), women's cross country/track and field (93%), softball (82%), volleyball (85%), and acrobatics and tumbling (97%), along with the five programs that recorded perfect scores.
"Supporting Oregon student-athletes' academic excellence — with graduation as the ultimate goal — is our top priority," said athletic director Rob Mullens. "These consistent results reflect the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes and the tremendous commitment of the Jaqua Center's academic support and student development team. We appreciate all of the efforts of Oregon student-athletes and their consistently high academic achievement."
