
Ducks Top Corban in Home Opener

Oregon posted a 5-0 win on its home courts Thursday afternoon.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team posted a 5-0 victory over Corban Thursday afternoon at Amazon Park. The result snapped an eight-match skid for the Ducks.
After the first of three waves, Oregon led 2-0 with sweeps at the No. 3 and 5 spots in the lineup. Kendall Clark and Skylar Kelly posted the Ducks' most lopsided win of the match with a 21-12, 21-13 outing over Allyson Reid and Erin Scott. The No. 3 pair of Natasha George and Sophie Gregoire extended the Ducks' advantage with a 21-15, 21-18 win.
At the top of the lineup, Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti overcame the Warriors' No. 1 team of Emma Bischoff and Megan Dennis. The Ducks' duo registered a 21-19, 21-17 result to clinch a third point while clinching the dual overall.
Presley McCaskill and Isabel Patterson made it 4-0 in favor of the Ducks, besting the duo of Allyson Reid and Erin Scott in another sweep (21-19, 21-19). It was the pair's team-leading fourth win this season. At the No. 2 spot, Landree Coats and Bella Gamache shook off a first-set loss to record a 16-21, 22-20, 15-9 victory over Jassica McMillian and Danae Stokes to complete the dual sweep.
Notable: In exhibition play, Lolo Folau and Halli Fields split two sets—16-21, 21-18—against the Corban No. 6 pair…Corban entered the match at 6-1 and ranked No. 2 in the NAIA poll...the Ducks are now 9-0 in matches played at Amazon Park.
