Ducks Drop a Pair to Close Regular Season

STANFORD, Calif. - The Oregon beach volleyball team closed out the regular season on Saturday with a pair of losses to Washington and California at the Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium.
Washington 5, Oregon 0: The Ducks (2-7, 0-3 Pac-12) played tough with the Huskies (3-6, 1-0 Pac-12) on multiple courts, but were unable to come away with any points on the board in the early match on a loaded day in Stanford. Oregon was able to force third sets on three different courts to give itself a chance at the match.

California 4, Oregon 1: The Ducks fought hard once again, and earned a point on the board with a win on the top court by Lindsey Vander Weide and Brooke Van Sickle. California (13-7, 2-1 Pac-12) was able to take control early on the remaining four courts to seal the victory.

What it Means: The Ducks finish their regular-season schedule at 2-7 and will now prepare for postseason play at the Pac-12 Championships.
