CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon sand volleyball team picked up its second straight win, Tuesday, defeating Oregon State in a Civil War match, 3-2.
Frankie Shebby and Natalie Bookout Gonzalez kept their momentum going with a win at the No. 4 spot, taking down Darby Reeder and Emilie Wilmes in a quick 21-14, 21-9 match. The Oregon pair is now 5-0 since beginning their partnership at the Stanford Invitational.
Despite close losses at No. 5 and No. 1, a match that saw Kacey Nady and Chelsey Keoho fall in three sets, the Ducks were still able to scratch out a win to move their record to 2-4 this season.
The Ducks' tallest lineup played at No. 3, with Taylor Agost and Serena Warner pairing up for the first time this season. Agost/Warner took down Haley Clarke and Hannah Troutman in straight sets, 21-13, 2-15.
Liz Brenner and Maggie Scott made quick work of Rachel Buehner and Lila Toner at No. 2, winning 21-9, 21-10 to seal the match.
Oregon will play its final two matches of the season on Friday in Boise, Idaho, playing Boise State at noon PT and No. 10 Arizona at 2 p.m. PT.
