Hall of Fame

Larry Hanson
- Induction:
- 2000
- Class:
- 1968
Possibly the Ducks' greatest baseball player of all time, Larry remains as the only two-time baseball All-American in Oregon history. He became the school's only player ever to win a Pac-8 Conference batting title with a phenomenal .454 average in 1967. During his final two seasons, he was selected All-Coast, Pac-8 all-conference, NCAA all-District 8 and All-America.
Hanson hit safely in 21 straight games to set a school record in 1967 before the slick fielding third baseman was selected as the California Angels' top draft choice following the 1968 season. The former all-state prep in football, basketball and baseball at Portland's Jefferson High School also was chosen state player of the year in the California summer leagues prior to his final collegiate campaign.
