- Induction:
- 2000
- Class:
- 1990
One of the Ducks' greatest running backs of all-time, Loville departed Eugene as the ninth-best rusher in the history of the Pacific-10 Conference. The four-year starter accumulated a school-record 3,296 yards rushing in addition to topping the school's charts with 45 touchdowns and 272 points from 1986 through 1989. In addition, no Oregon player rushed for more 100-yard games (11) and Loville's 5,223 career all-purpose yards was also unmatched. The two-time Pac-10 all-league running back became only the third Oregon standout to average better than 100 yards a game rushing in a single season as a junior in 1988 when when he came within nine yards of the school's single-season rushing record (1,202 yards). Loville also became the first player in school history to eclipse the 200-yards rushing plateau more than once during his collegiate career, and the first to lead the team in rushing four straight seasons before encountering a long NFL career.
