- 1992
As the Ducks’ 1962-64 quarterback, he guided Oregon to three consecutive winning seasons, the first time the school was over the .500 mark three years in a row in 30 seasons. He also was the first quarterback in Ducks’ history to surpass 1,000 yards passing in two seasons.
His 4,297 passing yards still rank fifth on Oregon’s all-time list and his 16 touchdown passes in 1963 and 39 career scoring tosses were the school record for 23 years. The 1964 all-American played in three post-season all-star games and starred nine seasons in the National Football League with Minnesota and Atlanta.
