- Class:
- 1927
He led the Webfoots to a 57-13 record in his three-year varsity career. An All-Pacific Coast honoree three times, he was named to the five-man All-America squad as a junior. A guard with the nickname of Swede, he was the acknowledged team leader both on and off the court during his Oregon playing career.
Described as a brilliant player, ready and able to exploit the weaknesses of opponents, he was the team captain as a 1926-27 senior. The on-court success of Oregon teams during his three-year tenure stimulated a large, loyal following and was credited with building support for the construction of McArthur Court.
