As Bobby Moore, he was proclaimed as the “greatest” during his Oregon career. In three record-setting seasons, he rushed for 2,306 yards, caught 131 passes and scored 226 points, marks that stood for 18 years. His receiving total is still the best-ever at Oregon.
In 1972, he was the fourth player taken in the National Football League draft and spent 10 seasons as a receiver with St. Louis, Buffalo and Minnesota. In seven seasons, he earned the Vikings’ career record with 400 receptions. After his playing career, he embarked on a broadcasting career and is now one of NBC Sports most popular reporters, particularly in football and basketball coverage.
