Heyer to join Ducks this winter, redshirt 2025-26 season.
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon has added three-year starter and Minnesota-transfer forward Mallory Heyer to its 2025-26 roster, head women's basketball coach Kelly Graves announced Thursday.
The 6-foot-1 Heyer will join the team later this winter and plans to utilize a redshirt season in 2025-26. With one year of eligibility remaining, Heyer will practice and participate in team activities before joining the Ducks on the court in 2026-27.
Heyer, a native of Chaska, Minn., has started every game in her collegiate career over three seasons, averaging 9.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game over 102 career games. She has produced 19 double-doubles, including a team-leading seven during the 2024-25 season.
As a junior, Heyer led Minnesota in rebounding at 8.1 per game (290 total rebounds) while averaging 8.6 points and shooting 42.8 percent from the floor. Heyer turned in back-to-back double-doubles to help the Golden Gophers win the 2025 WBIT title, including 18 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the championship game against Belmont.
In her career, Heyer has 52 career games in double figures, eclipsing the 20-point plateau three times. She dropped a career-best 28 points as a freshman against Wisconsin on Feb. 11, 2023.
Heyer was a four-star recruit and the No. 55 player in her class out of Chaska High School, according to ESPN.com.
